Entrance to the King Island ice cave. Even though the water is calm it surges in and out of the entrance making it a difficult maneuver to get a boat in. In winter, of course, it is such a completely different configuration that it scarcely is the same place. For some idea of the interior of the cave see the black and white photos. back
